Sterling silver is a fine metal which will not turn your fingers green or rust. Sterling is a precious metal with intrinsic value.

Sterling silver is often identified in jewelry by a marking like 925 (meaning 92.5% pure silver), Sterling, or Ster. Artisan rings are sometimes not marked at all. Being marked as 925/Ster/Sterling does not guarantee a piece is actually sterling, but in our shop we always test for sterling using acid testing.

If exposed to moisture and air for prolonged periods, sterling silver may tarnish to black. This tarnish can easily be polished off and the piece will be good as new. We generally do not polish our sterling pieces, as many customers prefer the natural patina from age.

Some of our pieces may have a rhodium, gold, or other type of plating over the sterling silver. Over time, this plating may flake off, but the sterling beneath will stay pristine.

We source our jewelry from estate sales, auctions, and local sellers. It is often the case that we do not know the origins of a piece. Unless noted in the description, we do not know about a piece's brand, stones, or origins. We price our jewelry based on its weight, uniqueness, and overall style.

Our sizing is as follows:

Rings are sized using the standard US sizing system. Please check your ring size prior to purchase. If a ring is between whole and half sizes, we will round down. For example, a ring that is between sz 7 and sz 7.5 will be marked as sz 7.

Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets will be measured in US inches.

All of our items are pre-owned and may have wear-and-tear from use. Please review the product photos carefully to ascertain the condition of the product. Major flaws like missing stones and cracks will be explicitly pointed out in the item description. Note that we do not accept refunds on the basis of flaws shown in the photos or in the description.
